À propos du film
In 1957, in the small coastal town of Puerto Deseado, Olvido (49), a single mother, lives immersed in sadness after the tragic loss of her daughter, Felicidad (7), who drowned at sea a decade earlier. Two years earlier, her beloved Angel, a sailor, had not returned. Trapped in her daily routine, she faces her days with deep pain, taking refuge in the melancholy and solitude of her home, where her daughter's absence becomes palpable. One day, as the radio plays in her kitchen, a memory compels her to plan her suicide. Determined to find peace, she heads toward the train tracks with the intention of ending her suffering. However, the image of Felicidad and the presence of Amparo (7), a local girl curious about Olvido, confront her with her pain and her longing for connection. On the brink of the abyss, Olvido succumbs to a profound moment of reflection when Amparo embraces her and shows her the warmth of the life that still exists. Through this unexpected connection, the noise of the train dissipates, and the woman chooses to return to life, rediscovering the meaning of hope and the possibility of healing. "The Morning Train" is a moving journey about the pain of loss, the struggle for healing, and the importance of human bonds in the darkest moments.
