À propos du film
Marcelo, a deaf LGBTQIAPN+ teenager, seeks in theater a space where he can fully exist. Still marked by the grief of losing his father, he finds in a group of young deaf artists a possible path to express what spoken words cannot hold. Between rehearsals, inner conflicts, and the affection of his mother and boyfriend, Marcelo learns to transform his pain and desires into movement, gesture, and presence. Communicated entirely in Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) and conceived from the perspective of the deaf community, "Signs Speak" is a drama about identity, belonging, and the many ways we express what we feel. On screen, hands, bodies, and silences become voice, revealing that signs are everywhere; we only need to learn how to see them.
