Rana, a young woman who dreams of becoming an actress, has come to Tehran without her family’s knowledge and is preparing for the final rehearsals of a play. Her fiancé, Majid, goes after her to bring her back, fearing disgrace and shame within his family and community. He confronts her during a rehearsal and threatens her. But Rana has made up her mind and refuses to return. Majid’s friend also encourages him to take a stronger stance and react to the situation. Eventually, Majid decides to confront Rana with acid, but at the last moment, he chooses another path.
Réalisation
I am Amir Dehghani, an Iranian filmmaker with a degree in Film Directing and experience in filmmaking and artistic activities. I have directed three short drama films, with a focus on realistic stories, human relationships, and emotional experiences. My latest short film, In Hoda’s Name, is a realistic drama that explores family, memory, and human relationships.
