Adela, an eighty-year-old woman with early-stage Alzheimer's, sleeps at home with her daughter Sonia. In the middle of the night, a noise at the door wakes them: someone is trying to break in.

Adela, an eighty-year-old woman with early-stage Alzheimer's, sleeps at home with her daughter Sonia. In the middle of the night, a noise at the door wakes them: someone is trying to break in. Three men burst into the house and advance toward the room where they are taking refuge. They aren't looking for jewelry or money. What they want is them. As the threat draws nearer, the house—the place that should be safe—becomes a space of fear and resistance. Sonia will do everything she can to protect her mother, while Adela perceives the situation through a lens fragmented by memory and bewilderment. Nothing is exactly what it seems, and the true terror arises from a reality that is all too close.
