Film soumis au RTV International Film Festival 2026Synopsis
In a surreal, monochromatic world, a young man moves through a seemingly endless system of blindfolded people, repetitive corridors and controlled behaviour. Disconnected from himself and trapped within the expectations surrounding him, he encounters a child who refuses to follow the same mechanical rhythm. As the child leads him through shifting spaces filled with play, curiosity and forgotten memories, the man gradually reconnects with a part of himself he had left behind. Their journey culminates in the revelation that the child represents his younger self the instinctive and imaginative identity buried beneath adulthood, conformity and the pursuit of success. Through repetition, symbolism and dreamlike imagery, Illusion explores the uncertain boundary between perception and reality while questioning whether the life we accept as normal may itself be an illusion.
