À propos du film
Guardians of Life, Traditional Midwives of Icod de los Vinos recovers the testimony of a generation that witnessed the tireless work of traditional midwives. In a context of profound scarcity, these women would rush to homes in the early hours of the morning, guided by lunar cycles and relying on natural remedies. The documentary offers an intimate look at Canarian roots and identity, honoring the efforts of those who quietly sustained their community.
