DON’T FUCK WITH ART What happens when defending what we believe in begins to look too much like what we are protesting against? Don’t Fuck With Art is a satire about our need to take a stand, to be heard, and to turn our convictions into signs of identity. Through a staging that reproduces the solemn language of campaigns, protests, and denunciation speeches, the film pushes to the absurd the transformation of a conviction into a slogan, a slogan into an identity, and an identity into a product. What begins as a defense of art and a reaction to attacks on artworks and museums ultimately reveals a broader contradiction: how easily our causes can become spectacle, our outrage can become performance, and our ideas can become commodities. With humor, irony, and a deliberately uncomfortable aesthetic, Don’t Fuck With Art does not seek to tell us what to think, but to ask what happens when we become too convinced that we are right. Because even what we defend can ultimately become the very thing we question.
