1941. Logroño. Matilde, a young seamstress, tries to get by mending everything she can. But lately, her most regular customers (German, Italian and Nationalist soldiers) are jeopardising her little world and a big secret...
About the film
During the Spanish Civil War and much of World War II, Logroño became the centre of operations for the Nazi and Fascist armies, in collaboration with the so-called Nationalist side. Matilde, the daughter of a missing anarchist, earns a living as best she can by accepting all kinds of commissions, including mending the military uniforms that are so common in the surrounding area. But lately, visits from military personnel have become more frequent, and Matilde begins to suspect that it is not only her skills as a seamstress that are arousing her clients' interest.
