Two old friends, blinded by guilt and a desperate craving to feel alive, are bound for a slow, painful void. Their dreams are the anchor holding them to the earth. When you halt, the world moves on—it stops for no one.
About the film
A memoir of Ángela and Blas, two childhood friends surviving amid drugs, precarity, and broken dreams. They are trapped in the nostalgia of a reality that no longer exists, haunted by ghosts of the past and the dreams they never achieved. Together, they try to sustain a friendship as chaotic as it is deeply human, while searching for an anchor, something strong enough to make them believe that moving forward is possible. With an intimate, observational, and profoundly human gaze, blending dark humor, vulnerability, and moments of self-destruction, Two junkies and a dream portrays a broken, utterly abandoned generation. It is a world where daily survival blurs into a desperate search for identity and dignity, and the stubborn refusal to stop believing that escape is possible.
