*The Ballad of the Goose Quill* is an 8-minute animated story – not just for children – which illustrates the power of fate on the path to happiness.
About the film
*The Ballad of the Goose Quill* is loosely inspired by Kazakh folk tales about the prankster Aldar. It illustrates the power of fate and the significance of his Journey. The hero of the story is a dreamer who believes in a better future for himself. His journey takes him across the desert to the gates of the palace. Thanks to fate, he manages to save a breed of rare horses, and for this deed the king grants him entry to the palace and to his daughter’s heart. Aldar’s ‘red thread’ is the goose quill behind his ear.
