A retired police chief from Santa Fe, finds refuge in music to balance his soul and step away from a past shadowed by wrongdoing and regret.
About the film
Daniel Missio is a retired police commissioner from Santa Fe who, since leaving the force, has devoted himself to music. Through a repertoire of Latin hits, he seeks to bring joy, perhaps as a form of redemption for a past marred by irregularities. The story accompanies him in his daily routine—running, bathing, going out with his wife, singing—simple actions that he cannot separate from his police identity. Today he lives in Esperanza, a city invaded by blackbirds, parasitic birds. RENEGRIDO is an intimate portrait of what remains of a man after his profession.
