Film Title: Romanies Since childhood, I have been inspired by the music of the Gipsy Kings and the culture of Romani communities in Europe. This lifelong fascination eventually inspired me to create Romanies, a short film shot in Kazakhstan. Here, I encountered Romani communities whose traditions, lifestyles, and cultural expressions differ in some ways from those I had come to admire in Europe. Yet my admiration for their culture remains just as strong. Through this short cinematic work, I wanted to explore that fascination and express my appreciation for the diversity of Romani identity and culture.
