South Korea · 2026 · 2 min · Black Comedy, Psychological Horror, Surreal

Submitted to RTV International Film Festival 2026

Synopsis

An office worker has spent her life hiding her feelings in pursuit of praise. The praise sticker chart of her childhood has become a performance evaluation at work, yet once again, the final box remains empty. As the cycle of judgment continues, her bottled-up emotions erupt into a bizarre inner world of skeletons and an endless sea of coffee. When she returns to reality, a resignation letter lies beside her. Praise Me! is an AI-generated music video blending black comedy and psychological horror, capturing the moment she begins to break away from a life spent waiting for others’ approval and make a choice of her own.

Director(s)

An animation major working primarily in 2D animation and AI-assisted video production, with a particular interest in stories that combine black comedy with psychological unease and in twisting familiar forms into something unexpected. In 2023, a short work was exhibited in the Chungju Jungwon Cultural Foundation’s special exhibition, Web-Based Digital Toon Content Exhibition “ㅋㅋㅋ.” Since then, the filmmaker has continued to create short animations and video works.
