Synopsis

During an art class at a school in Minab, children are drawing what they dream of becoming when they grow up. Through their drawings, they express their hopes and imagine the futures that lie ahead of them. But those dreams are shattered when the school is attacked by the United States during the war. What begins as an ordinary classroom activity becomes a heartbreaking reminder of the children whose futures are cut short by violence. Combining documentary footage, news archives, the children's drawings, and poetic visual scenes, MINAB bears witness to the devastating human cost of war. It brings the children's imagined futures face to face with the reality of destruction, giving voice to unfinished dreams that must not be forgotten or silenced.
