Based in the dissenting margins of Granada, a group of cis and trans men come together to challenge and transform the patriarchal structures inhabiting their minds, bodies, and spaces.
About the film
A group of men living in the caves of Sacromonte, on the edge of the Alhambra and on the margins of the civilization defined by Granada's Nasrid walls. From this context, the project addresses the issue of masculinity through a collective commitment, creating a space open to reflection and the development of artistic and social dynamics. The aim is to create environments where cis and trans men can connect from a place of vulnerability, questioning and making visible the power dynamics that permeate their relationships. Through an experimental documentary, the testimonies of five men belonging to this group guide the narrative in order to highlight this new social paradigm. Both the documentary and the observatory are collectively created and co-authored projects; in them, the participants themselves conceive, design, and document the dynamics of reflection on masculinity from a feminist perspective. Furthermore, the project extends to public spaces through the dissemination of posters and content on social media.
