After their father is hospitalized, two sisters return to their hometown to empty the family home, twenty years after the disappearance of their friend Lúa. There, an Ouija board from their adolescence reveals the truth about what happened that night
About the film
Paula and Uxía, two sisters from Vilagarcía de Arousa, return to their family home twenty years after the disappearance of their friend Lúa, who vanished during a party there in 2006. Their father has recently been placed in a nursing home as his Alzheimer's disease rapidly progresses, and the sisters have come back to empty the house before selling it. But from the moment they arrive, something feels wrong: damp spreads across the walls, and whispers echo through the pipes. The homemade Ouija board they created as teenagers reappears where it shouldn't. Among waterlogged belongings, they discover their old video camera, seemingly broken, along with the bracelet Lúa was wearing the night she disappeared—the same bracelet they found in the swimming pool years ago. During a séance using the Ouija board and the bracelet, something answers. Suddenly, the camera powers on, revealing footage that uncovers what really happened that night in 2006. Everything was recorded. After Lúa rejected Paula's romantic advances, a desperate struggle broke out over an incriminating videotape. The confrontation ended in a tragic "accident" that claimed Lúa's life. Paula lied to Uxía, and together they buried the truth. Lúa's body was never found. When the recording ends, an unexpected visitor leaves the sisters frozen with terror. Lúa's spirit has returned to bring the truth to the surface.
