*Una historia de identidad, esfuerzo, sueños y construcción de nuevas oportunidades.* Latinas Who Build South Carolina es un documental que da voz a mujeres latinas que han decidido construir su historia en Carolina del Sur. Son mujeres que llegaron con sueños, desafíos y diferentes historias de vida, pero que encontraron en este estado un lugar donde crecer, emprender, aportar y abrir caminos para otras generaciones. Detrás de cada negocio, cada profesión y cada proyecto existe una historia que merece ser contada: decisiones difíciles, sacrificios, momentos de incertidumbre, perseverancia y, sobre todo, la determinación de no rendirse.

# CARMEN FIGUEROA **Filmmaker · Documentary Producer · Founder of Eyes Pointe Production Company** Carmen Figueroa is a Chilean-born filmmaker, documentary producer, and multidisciplinary artist based in South Carolina, United States. With more than three decades of professional experience in ballet and performing arts, she brings a strong artistic perspective, sensitivity to human expression, and a deep understanding of storytelling to her audiovisual work. A graduate of the University of Chile, where she earned a degree in Art with a specialization in Dance, Carmen also dedicated fifteen years to teaching ballet and contemporary dance. Her artistic journey has evolved from the stage into the world of film and documentary production, where she continues to explore the human experience through authentic stories. She is the founder of **Eyes Pointe Production Company**, an independent production company focused on documentaries and audiovisual projects that highlight human transformation, education, leadership, resilience, and social development. Among her projects is *Voces que Curan (Voices That Heal)*, a 38-minute documentary completed in December 2025, featuring seven women from five countries and exploring the importance of mental health through personal experiences and powerful testimonies. She is also developing *Latinas Who Build*, a documentary project that celebrates Latina entrepreneurs, their journeys, leadership, challenges, and contributions to their communities in South Carolina. Through her work, Carmen seeks to create films that go beyond telling stories: films that preserve voices, generate reflection, connect cultures, and inspire meaningful conversations. Her vision is rooted in the belief that every human story deserves to be seen, heard, and remembered. **Her guiding purpose is to transform real stories into meaningful cinematic experiences.**
