Through sensitive and committed interviews, this documentary collects testimonies from migrants in order to promote critical, open and solidary citizenship in the face of the challenges of the present.
About the film
Throughout 35 minutes, and through sensitive and committed interviews, the testimonies of three South American students, of some migrants who arrived in Bilbao in the 1960s, an immigrant interviewed at the Adults Study Centre of Erandio, and representatives of the pro-Saharawi association Nishma Elkartea, are collected. Special mention should be made of Fatma Galia, Poet and President of the Saharawi League of Writers and Journalists of Europe, whose voice calls for the dignity and cultural resistance of a people in exile. Filmed in original Spanish and subtitled in Basque, this documentary is an urgent invitation to understand migration not as a threat, but as an opportunity to enrich our societies and strengthen coexistence.
