An episode of the web series Colors of Life about White January, Brazil’s mental health awareness month: anxiety, depression and the stigma of asking for help, blending a scripted story with real testimonies from psychiatrists, specialists and people
About the film
A woman wakes up drained, goes to work and hides what she feels behind targets and smiles. As her story unfolds in silence, psychiatrists, psychologists, physical educators and ordinary people on the streets of Rio de Janeiro talk about anxiety, depression, burnout and the brain: what it releases when we laugh, how exercise protects the mind, and why asking for help is an act of courage. Colors of Life is a docu-fiction web series about Brazil’s health awareness color campaigns; this episode is dedicated to White January, mental health month. Silence weighs heavy, but asking for help brings relief.
