About the film
Beneath the appearance of an ordinary man lies the story of José Antonio Hernández, who in his youth endured one of the most traumatic experiences imaginable: being shipwrecked in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and surviving to tell the tale. In time — borrowed time — he would take an unexpected turn in life. The man who was once rescued would later become a rescuer himself, working for Maritime Search and Rescue. With every life he saves, he relives his own experience and reflects on fate, the fragility of life, and the importance of the simplest things.
