A John Carpenter-style 1980s Halloween tale. Four kids out trick-or-treating have their candy bags snatched by older high-school dropout bullies. A mysterious old woman, Mary, gives the kids cursed glowing candy that transforms them into the monsters of their costumes — werewolf, ghost, skeleton, wolf — for a dark night of payback. Mary's curse is personal: years earlier, those same bullies threw illegal fireworks into her home as a prank, killing her husband. She turned to witchcraft and baked her revenge into candy. Now the transformed kids are bound to the woods forever — hunting bullies and protecting Halloween for eternity.
