About the film
After Isabel Barreto’s death, Jaime and Marisol are trapped by a debt that is not theirs, while Trujillo keeps moving forward, indifferent to their family’s tragedy. With only a few hours to solve the impossible, Jaime searches through the house and finds a family heirloom their mother had kept for years as if it were untouchable. For Marisol, letting go of that object means losing the last thing they have of her; for Jaime, it is the only chance to pay before violence reaches their door. Their desperation leads them to El Paraíso, a neighborhood bar where Jaime bets on winning enough to save himself. But there, the game stops being a game: the soccer match, the betting, and the presence of the loan sharks turn the night into a countdown. Between stares, threats, and time moving without mercy, the siblings realize this is no longer just about money, but about surviving a city that pushes them to the edge. When everything seems lost, Jaime makes a desperate choice that changes the course of the night forever. From that moment on, escape is no longer an option, and facing the consequences becomes inevitable.
