About the film
Maya, a 40-year-old trans woman, returns to her hometown to see her mother Miryam, who suffers from advanced Alzheimer's. The reunion brings their new identities into play within an environment that seems frozen in time. As they stroll along the riverbank, the locals mobilize in a desperate search for a lost image of the Virgin. The clash between the personal and the collective, between the intimate walk and the quest for the sacred, will allow them to recognize each other once more, right at the fragile threshold where memory emerges and transforms.
