Acerca de la película
From the moment we are born until the day we die, we look for love. We look for love in our parents, our friends, our partners, and the people around us. We all do it. So Watermarked begins with a simple question: If we all spend our lives looking for love, are we designed to do so? The music video shows this question through a young woman. She feels a deep emptiness inside her. She tries to fill it with things outside herself. She travels, explores, flies, skis, and goes bungee jumping. Her life looks exciting, free, and happy. She keeps looking for new experiences and new excitement, hoping they will fill what is missing inside her. But she fails. The deep emptiness is still there. She keeps searching without even knowing what she is looking for. In the end, she falls. At her lowest point, she finds “a bird,” which represents “True Love.” But it is not simply romantic love, or the love we receive from another person. It represents a deeper love—the True Love she has been searching for all her life, the kind of love that can fill her emptiness, heal it, and give her the strength to live again. After finding this True Love, she begins to smile again. She finds peace and the strength to move forward. So what is this True Love? What kind of love can truly fill the emptiness inside us? Where does that love come from? And if we are all born with this need for love, why are we made this way? If we are designed to keep looking for love, who made us that way? Who placed this need for love so deeply inside us? Perhaps this need for love is like a watermark, already imprinted deep inside us. And that leaves one last question: Then... who put the watermark there?
