Samtula is a Gujarati short film about a man struggling with financial pressure, family responsibilities, and the hardships of everyday life. As his problems begin to overwhelm him, he finds himself searching for a way to escape the reality he can no longer handle. In his desperation, he turns to a spiritual ritual, hoping for a change in his circumstances. But as he confronts the consequences of his choices, he begins to see life from a different perspective. Through his journey, he realises that life will always bring challenges, and running away from them is not the answer. True balance comes from facing our problems with courage, accepting our responsibilities, and finding the strength to move forward. Samtula is a story about life's struggles, the importance of balance, and the courage it takes to face reality rather than escape it.

Harsh Pandya and Dhruv Pandya are independent filmmakers from Gujarat, India, and the co-founders of Cinera Originals, an independent film production house driven by a shared passion for storytelling and cinema. Working together as a filmmaking duo, they bring different creative strengths to their projects. Harsh focuses on filmmaking, editing and the visual language of cinema, while Dhruv contributes as a writer and director. Their collaborative approach combines visual storytelling with narrative depth and creative expression. Their previous projects, including Bhaagdaud and other independent productions under Cinera Originals, reflect their interest in exploring diverse themes, human emotions and unconventional narratives. With Samtula, they continue their exploration of meaningful, character-driven cinema. The Gujarati short film examines financial struggles, family responsibilities and the search for balance in everyday life, presenting a deeply human story about accepting reality and finding the courage to move forward. Through Cinera Originals, Harsh and Dhruv aim to create original cinematic experiences that connect with audiences and explore stories that leave a lasting impression.
