Acerca de la película
María and Raúl, a working-class couple, meet with Sara, their psychologist friend, to tell her about the complicated situation they are going through. The couple put their small flat up for rent so they could move to the flat opposite, on the same staircase, as it is more spacious and suitable for the baby they are expecting. After much searching, they found Samu, a young man who seemed responsible and organised. However, over time, Samu has begun to show signs of not being well: he has stopped paying the rent, locks himself in his flat with the lights off and talks to himself at the top of his voice. When they go to a solicitor, she advises them not to alert anyone to Samuel's state of health under any circumstances, as this would greatly complicate the eviction proceedings they are about to initiate. Caught between a rock and a hard place, with a baby on the way, two precarious jobs and their own rent to pay, María and Raúl wonder if what they are doing is morally right and if, perhaps, the laws of this country are not designed to favour the same people as always.
