Acerca de la película
To the outside world, this remote mountain area is quiet, pure, and peaceful, a land untouched by conflict. Few people know that beneath its calm landscape lie countless hidden dangers and deep traumas left by past wars. Wang Kaixue lost his family during warfare in his childhood and witnessed the cruelty of war at a young age. He is not a fearless hero. Working amid deadly hidden mines for decades, he truly understands danger and carries fear in his heart. Endured with profound life suffering, he also possesses an extraordinary natural talent for ordnance identification and clearance. For more than thirty years, Wang Kaixue has devoted his entire life to this scarred land. Without fame, reward or public attention, he persists in clearing unexploded mines and repairing the damaged earth day after day. As time passes, the smoke of war has long faded, and the land is gradually healing. All hidden dangers will eventually be eliminated, and peace will completely return. There is no glamorous heroism here, only an ordinary man who has experienced pain, who still chooses to redeem the land and protect the peace of future generations with his whole life. Beneath the pure and peaceful scenery lies the invisible weight of one lifetime’s sacrifice. The earth will recover, but the mountains will forever witness the silent greatness of an ordinary human being.
