Acerca de la película
Irene receives an unexpected call from Marina, her best friend, whom she hasn’t spoken to in three years. Although she’s reluctant at first, little by little the conversation regains the closeness that always existed between them. Until Marina mentions the last time they saw each other. Irene then recalls the car accident they were in together—an accident Marina didn’t survive and for which Irene has been blaming herself for three years. Overwhelmed, she begs Marina to forgive her, but the call cuts off. Irene is in a psychologist’s office. She’s participating in grief therapy that uses artificial intelligence to recreate Marina’s voice. The experience has been so real that Irene can barely accept that she wasn’t actually talking to her. Convinced that she should have died in Marina’s place, she confesses her desire to commit suicide. Her psychologist then points out a contradiction: if she really wanted to die, she wouldn’t have come to her asking for help.
